5 days Uganda Gorilla trekking and primate tour taking you to Kibale national park to track chimpanzees and gorilla watching in Bwindi impenetrable forest, home to half of the world’s gorilla population.
Uganda is home to many unique primate species and many of these are be found in Kibale National park which harbors the highest density of primate species. These most common species here include; chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabey, Red-tailed monkeys, L’ Hoest, Olive baboons and the Blue monkeys. The mountain gorillas can also be found in Bwindi impenetrable national park and in Mgahinga national park. The other primate species is the golden monkeys which can be spotted in many different national parks of Uganda.
Kibale’s most popular activity is the Kanyanchu Primate Walk. Thirteen species can be sought, and a good variety of diurnal monkeys invariably encountered, but the stars of this trail are the chimpanzees. Kanyanchu’s chimps have been tracked since 1993 and the chances of locating them are excellent. Guided walks start at 8 am and 2 pm and last an average of three hours, depending on various factors.

Pick up from either hotel or from airport and be ready for a 6 hours drive to Kibale forest national park – the journey that will take approximately six hours. On arrival late dinner will be served at the lodge, with its scenic view of the forest, of Kibale national park. Dinner and overnight at primate Lodge.
Have early morning breakfast before departing to the park headquarters where you will be given a safety and tracking briefing. You will then be taken by vehicle to a starting point, to commence your chimpanzee trek in the forest. After this phenomenal wildlife experience, return to your vehicle on the edge of the forest, returning to primate lodge for lunch. Take an afternoon swamp walk in Bigodi swamp sanctuary to sight some birds and other primates. Dinner and overnight at Primate Lodge
Early breakfast prior to departing for Bwindi via Queen Elizabeth national park and watch out for eye-catching big game on the way like elephants, buffalos, antelopes, warthogs and other wildlife. In the afternoon, relax while having lunch in Kihihi town or take a walk to the bustling market of Kihihi. Continue to Bwindi for ultimate gorilla experience. Dinner and overnight at Bakiga Lodge
Today we meet one of the world’s oldest peoples in a living history encounter with the famous Batwa tribe. After a short briefing by the guides, you will proceed through the dense bush to trek for the opportunity to see these endangered animals in their natural habitat.
